Voltage Optimisation
Electricity in the EU must be supplied at levels between 230V plus 10% (253V) and 230V minus 10% (207V). To maintain these levels under all loadings, electricity supply companies often supply at levels close to the 253V (the UK average is 242V). Most electrical equipment has been designed to work at levels well below 230V. Setting the voltage at a lower level not only increases the efficiency of the electrical equipment, but also will raise the lifespan! It is with this principle that our Voltage Optimisation products work. The products achieve reductions in Voltage which are matched to the needs of the site. Based on Ohms Law these reductions in Voltage can result in substantial energy savings.

Our Voltage Optimisation products can be applied to the main incoming supplies, sub distribution boards, or even individual machines. No changes to the existing infrastructure are required. Especially for lighting applications, savings of up to 35% have been achieved. Pay-back time typically is between 18 – 24 months.
Some of the key benefits and features of our Voltage Optimisation products are:
1) Voltage control, optimisation and stabilization
2) Automatic and manual bypass
3) Improvement of power quality: power factor improvement and reduction of harmonics
4) Reduction of conduction losses
5) Astro clock by geo-location for outdoor lighting applications
6) Daylight harvesting scenarios for indoor lighting applications
7) Remote control and monitoring
8) Zero maintenance for most products
9) Seamless integration with Energy Management Systems
Major businesses such as McDonalds, IBM, Tesco, Toys’R’US, Carrefour, Novotel and Schiphol Airport have already installed our products.
